Meet Dr. Gerald Stefan & Dr. Frank Holecek

They are part of a 25-year Rochester Hills tradition of comfort and care. Both doctors have dedicated their professional lives to providing you with the best that dentistry has to offer.  They are continually educating themselves and their staff on the latest dental techniques and approaches in order to provide you with advanced, state-of-the-art, comfortable, personalized and antiseptically superior care.

Dr. Gerald E. Stefan Dr. Stefan is a 1980 graduate of the University of Detroit Dental School.  Since receiving his degree he has taken hundreds of hours of continuing dental education courses, with a special emphasis on cosmetic dentistry and restorations of dental implants.  He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association and the Detroit District Dental Society. Dr. Stefan, a lifelong resident of the area, has lived in the Rochester Hills community for more than 20 years, with his wife and 2 sons.

Dr. Frank Holecek After graduating from the University of Detroit School of Dentistry in 1980, Dr. Holecek went into private practice and also taught at the University as a pre-clinical crown and bridge instructor. He has lectured in the U.S. and Canada, and has helped hundreds of other practitioners nationwide in excelling in patient care.  He continues to train with some of the most well known dentists of our time, from Dr. Bill Dorfman, founder of ABC TV’s hit “Extreme Makeover” to Dr. Larry Rosenthal, New York City’s most famous cosmetic dentist.  The list goes on and the passion for dental excellence continues.

Dr. Holecek came from a long heritage of clinical excellence.  His mother practiced dentistry in Europe, South America and the United States.  His brother practices in Colorado, and spends many months a year volunteering in Nepal, India and Asia.  Dr. Holecek has provided mission dentistry in Guatemala, Central America, as well.

With a focus on cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics, Dr. Holecek has created some of Rochester Hills’ and metropolitan Detroit’s most attractive smiles.

As a member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association and numerous other local organizations, his support for organized dentistry and the highest level of dental care is forever present.

Dr. Holecek and his wife Joy have 2 sons, Derek and Frank.  His interests include tennis, skiing, and mostly being with his family.

Meet Our Staff

Andrea Vasquez

Andrea is our certified dental hygienist and coordinator.  She’s been with Oakland Dental for 10 years.  Our patients appreciate her soft touch, her ability to make them feel comfortable and her commitment to educating them about maintaining good oral health.  Andrea is certified in nitrous oxide and also serves as OSHA coordinator in our office.

A graduate of Mott Community College, Andrea  has 14 years of experience.  She  is a member of the American Dental Hygienists Association, and frequently takes dental hygiene seminars to keep her skills up to date.

Andrea is very involved with church activities, especially the summer “Fiesta Mexicana.”  She keeps busy with 3 children, 3 grandchildren, and a miniature dachshund named Chase.

Susan Benton

Susan, business manager, helps patients understand their insurance.  She is dedicated to making sure that our patients get everything they are entitled to under their insurance plan.

Susan attended Ferris State University and worked for a periodontist for 10 years before coming to Oakland Dental Care 11 years ago.  She has attended numerous health and business education courses.

Her hobbies include flower arranging, art, and traveling with her family, which includes her Irish setter Bailey.

Becky Larson

As a certified dental hygienist, Becky joined our team in 1998. She attended Ferris State University and has been a dental hygienist for 22 years. Treating our patients with friendliness and personalized care make Becky smile. Her experience and expertise have led her to teaching dental hygiene and patient comfort skills at dental offices and Universities across the nation.

She also teaches and competes in ballroom and swing dancing. When she’s not serving patients, teaching fellow professionals, or dancing the night away, Becky likes to spend time with her friends and family.

Becky Shosey

Becky Shosey, our head dental assistant, performs many tasks in our office, including take-home bleaching and Zoom 2 bleaching. She’ll make you feel welcome and comfortable.

Becky has been in the medical field for 11 years. Before coming to Oakland Dental Care 9 years ago, she worked as a nursing assistant for patients with Alzheimer’s in a retirement facility. She’s attended Oakland Community College and has taken classes with speakers such as Dr. Bill Dorfman (the dentist featured on Extreme Makeovers) and with Dr. Ross Nash on cosmetic dentistry.

Becky enjoys spending time with her family, including her beagle, Baxter. She also likes shopping, Indy car racing and camping.

Sheri Eveland

Sheri greets our patients and makes them feel comfortable and confident in the dental chair. She works alongside the dentists as a dental assisting, ensuring that both patient and doctor have what they need, when they need it. Sheri completed her externship at Meadowbrook Dental and attended Everest Institute for Dental Assisting, graduating as an honor student. Her passion for dentistry is evident in the gentle, caring way she cares for patients and the genuine interest she shows in continually learning new techniques.

In her free time, Sheri enjoys the great outdoors: hiking, camping, kayaking, roller blading, or swimming. She also likes to sharpen her mind with crossword puzzles, and she often visits her family in Arizona. As a volunteer instructor, Sheri teaches English as a second language.

Kristin Koski

Kris worked as a dental hygienist for 13 years in Rochester before taking a hiatus in her career to raise her children. She recently joined our office and is excited about returning to her passion, improving lives through oral health. Kristin graduated from Delta Community College in 1986 and from Ferris State University in 1988 with her degree in dental hygiene.

For fun, Kristin enjoys snow skiing and traveling with her family. To recharge, she enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.
